Behzad is Chairman and CEO of Maxim Commercial Capital. He successfully founded several businesses internationally in an array of industries, including manufacturing, wholesaling, retail, energy, biotechnology, structured finance, and consumer products. Most recently, Behzad was Cofounder and CEO of an equipment finance company specializing in commercial heavy-duty trucks and trailers, leading the company for 10 years before selling his interests in 2011. He has held board positions at several non-profit and community organizations. Behzad received his BS in Business from the University of Akron in 1978.

Michael is an Executive Vice President of Maxim Commercial Capital. Prior to Maxim, Michael was an underwriter with JP Morgan Real Estate Banking, where he was responsible for supporting the management of over $400 million in loan commitments. At JP Morgan, Michael helped underwrite $1.6 billion in new loan commitments to institutional borrowers including REITs, REOCS, and private equity funds. He earned his BS in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Southern California.

Kyle is the Controller of Maxim Commercial Capital. Prior to joining Maxim, Kyle led the accounting and tax functions for businesses spanning the hospitality, broadcasting, publishing, retail and gaming industries. Prior to these ventures, Kyle built and ran his own CPA firm before successfully selling and transitioning it to new ownership. After graduating from Oklahoma City University, Kyle began his accounting career at Price Waterhouse, LLP and Grant Thornton, LLP. He holds a CPA license and earned his Master of Business Taxation degree from the University of Southern California.

Azar is the Vice President - Accounting and Audit of Maxim Commercial Capital. Prior to joining Maxim, Azar served as Controller for an equipment finance company specializing in commercial heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Azar started her career in accounting at the National Iranian Oil Company, ultimately serving as Vice President for 8 years. From there, Azar immigrated to Sweden with her family and served as Head of Audit for DFDS Shipping Company, reporting directly to the CFO. Azar earned her MS in Accounting from the University of Tehran.

Ben is Vice President of Portfolio Management & Risk at Maxim Commercial Capital. He brings more than 20 years of successful management experience in commercial finance, focusing on small business lending. Prior to joining Maxim, Ben was a principal in two successful early stage finance firms, most recently acting as Managing Director and President of Allegiant Partners Inc. Ben also held leadership positions in Trinity Capital Corp. (sold to Bank of the West), Bank of America and CIT. Ben’s expertise is in building operations. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Willamette University.

Javier is a Senior Credit Analyst at Maxim Commercial Capital. Prior to Maxim, Javier gained 10 years of experience in various operations roles at several equipment finance companies. His responsibilities included developing operations policies and procedures, underwriting, submissions, and funding. Prior to working in the finance industry, Javier was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was Honorably Discharged in 2000 and went on to attend San Diego State University before becoming captivated by the equipment finance industry. He obtained his Certified Lease & Finance Professional (CLFP) designation in 2014.
